FAQ
What is GSG99 Intelligence?
A retail site selection platform. It turns an address into an opening verdict (GO, NO GO or conditional GO) and screens entire cities or countries to find the zones with the most opportunity for a specific brand.
Who is it for?
Store chains that are opening new locations: expansion directors, real estate directors and CEOs who have to defend every opening in front of a committee.
How is it different from a location data or footfall platform?
Those platforms sell data or maps that your team then has to interpret. GSG99 delivers the decision: a verdict on a specific address, with its reasons, calibrated on the real sales of your own network.
What do I get for an address?
The case an expansion committee asks for: comparables within your network, estimated sales, financial viability, risks, cannibalisation with your existing stores and a GO, NO GO or conditional GO verdict.
And for a city or a country?
A whitespace screening: it ranks every zone by opportunity for your brand before anyone visits a site. It gives zones, not addresses; the address is then assessed with the verdict.
Does it predict the sales of a new store?
It estimates sales as one part of the case, but it does not promise to predict them to the pound. What gets validated is whether the engine ranks locations correctly from best to worst against the real sales of existing stores, which is what an expansion decision needs. The validation, with its sample and its limits, is shared with each client.
Does it analyse cannibalisation between my stores?
Yes. Every location is read against your network: overlap of catchment areas and the risk of taking sales from your own stores.
What data does it use?
Official public data (census, land registry, commercial activity, mobility) and the data from your own stores. Your data is used only for your engine: it is never shared or used for another client.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. Each client's data processing is governed by a data processing agreement signed with that client, and data is stored on servers in the European Union (Ireland).
Which countries does it cover?
Spain and the United Kingdom.
How long does it take?
Minutes. The verdict for an address is generated in under three minutes, with no manual intervention.
How much does it cost?
There is no public price. Each project starts by calibrating the engine on your network, and the scope depends on the size of the network and the countries. Access is by invitation: write to us and we will walk you through it.
Are the numbers on the website from a real client?
No. The report shown on the homepage (Avinguda Diagonal 400, Barcelona) is an illustrative sample, not a client result.
Who is behind it?
GSG99 Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17178219), based in London. Founded by Franco Capiglioni and Fernando Capiglioni.
